Hailey Dunn--Missing from Colorado City, Texas--Part III

After Billie Jean Dunn reported her daughter Hailey missing on December 28, 2010, Colorado City, Texas police began investigating. In the course of the investigation, they uncovered several inconsistencies in Shawn Adkin's statement to investigators. Also, both Adkins and Dunn both failed their polygraphs about the disappearance of Hailey.

I know that polygraphs are not allowed to be admitted into evidence in a criminal trial, however, polygraphs do work in order to eliminate suspects, unless of course, the suspect is a sociopath like the Green River Killer, Gary Ridgway.

Here is an excerpt from a search warrant obtained by Colorado City Police: During the investigation into the disappearance/kidnapping of Hailey Dunn, Shawn ADKINS has been interview numerous times by investigators and ADKINS has volunteered to a polygraph examination on three occasions and on the first two occasions upon his arrival he terminated the polygraph examinations by walking out and refusing to cooperate with investigator. To me, this speaks volumes. On the third attempt to polygraph ADKINS he submitted to the first stage of the polygraph and the result of the polygraph was deception indicated, meaning that ADKINS failed the examination on the relevant questions of knowing the whereabouts of Hailey Dunn. If Shawn Adkins cared anything for Hailey, he would have never walked out of the polygraph, unless he is guilty of her disappearance or had a hand in making her disappear.

It was also brought to the investigators attention that Shawn Adkins loves horror movies, to the point of buying special made masks. Apparently, he also likes to hurt animals with a chainsaw. He's a very immature 25-year-old. Liking horror movies doesn't mean he killed Hailey, but cutting animals up with a chainsaw, well, that certainly changes things for me.

Tomorrow, we will discuss Billie Jean Dunn's polygraph. I have taken excerpts from a great blog that I found. The blog can be found here: http://casesignal.wordpress.com/

I will see you all tomorrow!
